Beyond Your Wildest Expectations,
Yet Within Reach
When is the last time you went out to some place really exciting? Or had a night on the town where everything you could want was under one spectacular roof? Well, it just so happens that excitement lives and breaths right here in northeastern Pennsylvania at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
Being Pennsylvania's first casino was great, but being Pennsylvania's best casino was their goal. And they've succeeded in style, having recently completed Phase ll of Project Sunrise, a $208 million renovation that dramatically transformed them into the area's leading entertainment complex. They're also committed to celebrating the beauty and natural resources of northeastern Pennsylvania. Inspiration for the architecture came from the rolling majesty of the Pocono Mountains and the richness of the Susquehanna River Valley. "Our focus and intent was to create a memorable design and experience which celebrates northeastern Pennsylvania," said Robert Soper, President and CEO of Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
With 55,000 square feet of new gaming space holding 2,500 slot and electronic virtual table games, many of them new to Pennsylvania, they offer countless opportunities for gaming fun and success. It also makes them unrivaled in gaming services and amenities. They've also brought in a variety of dining options that people in this area are craving. Whether it's fine dining at Ruth's Chris Steak House or Rustic Kitchen Bistro and Bar, casual dining at Timbers Buffet, or a delicious quick meal at the Sky Food Court, there's something to satisfy every appetite. Shopping here is a whole new experience. Finely crafted jewelry, the latest fashions and accessories and a logo shop are just a few of the shopping opportunities available. And they put the 'life' in nightlife with the fabulous Sunburst Bar in the heart of the action and eclectic entertainment and high kickin' fun at Breakers Bar. There's so much to do and see here that you really do need to experience it for yourself. And while it may be impossible to do all in one day, it's the kind of place you'll want to go back to time and again.
